Hi! I'm Karen. I am happily married to my rock, Philip and Mummy to Eli aged 3 and our newest edition Willow.
We are from the small village of Annalong, Co.Down right in the middle of the Mourne Mountains and the Irish Sea.
I have always had a passion for photography from such a young age when I received my first camera for Christmas when I was 6 years old and I was one of the only cool kids who owned a polaroid back in the 90’s. I was also that teenager who always had a digital camera in her hand and on nights out!
I first properly discovered photography when I became a Mummy to my beautiful Son Eli in 2016. While on maternity leave I decided to complete a Diploma in Photography. I just loved capturing Eli’s little firsts which led me into a lot of training in newborn photography which I now enjoy so much in my purpose built home studio.
I have been so fortunate to have been given the opportunity to second shoot at weddings for one of my good friends Leanne (Magill’s Film & Photography). It was then when I fell in love and knew this is the style of photography I love best. Capturing pure, raw emotions and telling a story.
I lost my beautiful Mum to cancer just 5 weeks before my wedding in 2014. I dreamed of those wedding images which shows the Mummy helping her daughter into her dress, watching her daughter walk down the aisle with so much pride… you know the ones I’m talking about. Unfortunately I don’t have those photographs which makes me treasure each photograph I have of my Mum and makes me strive to give others those precious images which bring you back to that exact moment with those who you love dearly.
